Depart Scotland, Sunday.

We said goodbye to Mike & Joan & Finlay at Sauchenford Cottage and headed for Edinburgh. As we had a spare hour before checking we decided to drive to the city centre and have a look around. We missed the motorway exit and it was 14 miles to the next exit! 28 miles later we found the city centre, which was full of roadworks, cars and blocked roads.

We did see Edinburgh Castle and took this photo. The city looks to be a very interesting place to explore on foot!

Check-in on EasyJet was OK, they don't allocate seats so you don't want to be last on board. The Airbus A319 took us to Amsterdam down the coast of England, then a left turn to Holland and we landed ontime after about 1 hour 10 min.

Gordon was there to meet us and an hour later we were in Vianen where Geertje had dinner underway. It was very nice to see them again.
