Devon Steam Railway

Wednesday was a trip to have a ride on the South Devon steam railway. The trust that runs it has accumulated a very fine collection of working locomotives, signal stations, tracks and railway stations. The train travels from Buckfastleigh along the River Dart to Totnes, where we watched morris dancing a few days ago.

The start of the trip was not helped by Doug finding the car keys were not in his pocket, so we exited that train, found the keys in the boot and caught the following train about an hour later.

Running along the Dart was very picturesque and a half mile walk into Totnes gave us some exercise and a look around town. Totnes has one of the highest percentages of listed heritage buildings in England.

My little camera seems to have 'given up the ghost'. What a pain!
