Deptford and Richmond

First up for the day was to catch a train to Deptford to visit the village where Peter Jenkins (Julie's Gt-Grandfather) was born & baptised in 1860. After a battle finding the right train in Waterloo (now we know it has 2 parts) we ended up in the High St of Deptford, Kent.

Well. We thought Otahuhu was ethnic! Enjoy these shots taken in the High St.

A nice Irish lady (a local) headed us to St Pauls church where Peter Jenkins was baptised.

Then we went back into London Bridge and to the tube to Richmond to meet up with Kelly & Emma, who are heading to NZ for Kelly's wedding in October.

What a contrast between Deptford and Richmond. No Calvin Klein underwear shops in Deptford!

We had a nice walk along the Thames before heading back to Earls Court.

Looks as though you all had a nice day. Nice to know about our "Ethnic" roots. The walk along the Thames looks nice. Does it just go for miles and miles? Emma is getting cuter every new photo that I see of her.
